We are on the forefront of a fundamental technological shift, during a time of generational change. In a world where change is the only constant, stagnation is akin to moving backward. We come together to move rugby forward and collectively seek to shape the next 200 years, by the fans – for the game.
We exist to achieve two things:
- Restore, reignite and strengthen the fans’ connection to each other and the game. To empower fans by helping them create the sport they want, not what the industry says they need.
- Significantly enhance Rugby’s global presence and appeal, to forge a sustainable future for our game.

Our weapon of choice is a novel mechanism, a co-creation and coordination operating system, that leverages all the properties Web3 has to offer (global, transparent, immutable and programmable). Our team has developed a cutting-edge mechanism for co-creation and coordination that harnesses the power of Web3’s global, transparent, immutable, and programmable properties. We call it RugbyOS®. A coordination framework that uses the properties of Web3 to create a global, transparent, immutable, and programmable operating system for sports. It unlocks the power of fandom to pioneer new opportunities in the world of sport – together.
RugbyOS® sits as a hybrid model between the intersection of a Fan Club and a Product Studio, designed to accelerate change by tapping into human potential and deep passion, to establish new norm for fandom based on reciprocal value share and purpose.
We want to offer a transformative opportunity for fans globally to co-create the ideal world we’d like to see. Our goal is to empower every fan to become part of the game, creating a positive feedback loop through connection, shared ownership, and a reciprocal value flow. Simply put, RugbyOS® is rugby by the fans, for the game.
Restoring the Broken Sport System: A Fan-Led Revolution
This system is set to eclipse the current operating model of sports, which prioritises sponsors, media, ticketing, and merchandise over the true essence of fandom and player engagement, reducing fans to mere statistics of ‘provable reach’. While these stakeholders play a role in our game, it’s crucial to acknowledge that their involvement seeks to connect with fans—without whom, their investments lose significance.
The revolution we propose shifts the focus squarely onto us, the fans, reimagining our connection to the game and to each other, transforming our involvement from passive viewership to active participation. RugbyOS®: System design to go from Community → Movement
At the heart of our operating system lies the concept of community.
Communities foster a sense of belonging among people, uniting them under a shared goal and identity. They build trust and support, enabling members to collaborate, co-ordinate and develop meaningful relationships. Our first objective is to establish the necessary foundations for our community to thrive, leveraging the RugbyOS® to promote trust, support, and collaboration like never before.
Our community journey began with two founders and now includes approximately 900 members, encompassing some of the most prominent figures in Rugby, sports and web3, including notable strategic partnerships with some of the best in the game. Despite these numerous accolades, our community is not based on professional accomplishments, but on our shared personal pursuit of unlocking the full potential of our members to shape the future of rugby.
The purpose of our community building is not to simply build a community but rather to harness the power of that community and create a movement which challenges the status quo and delivers real positive change.
Our RugbyOS® is the framework to enable our community to become a movement, ultimately reaching tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of rugby fans worldwide.
The RugbyDAO – Community Framework
While every community is as unique as the humans in it, they all share a similar, underlying template popularised by communitycanvas.org of three core components: Identity, Experience and Structure. For a community to thrive it needs all three, but it all starts with a strong sense of identity.
Establishing Our Identity through the RugbyOS® Framework
I acknowledge that upon joining this was not something we had in place, as is common in innovative spaces – we’re building this plane as we fly it. Like me, you may have joined as a leap of faith and a sense this could be the start of something, but what? Now that we have developed the framework for our RugbyOS®, it is essential that we clearly define our Identity. Our contributors, our commons and our culture. So, let’s begin:
Our identity layer consists of three core blocks and seeks to provide an explicit sense of who we are, why we exist and what we stand for
